🏆 Callysta Najmi Raissa: The Vocational Champion from UNDIP’s Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology, Proof of the Campus’s Commitment to Excellent Applied Education

Good news comes from Diponegoro University (UNDIP), which successfully swept the National 1st Place titles at the prestigious National Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) 2025 event.

For the Diploma/Vocational category, this prestigious degree was awarded to Callysta Najmi Raissa, a student from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (ICET) Study Program at the UNDIP Vocational School. This victory, along with Felicia Hestiawan’s 1st place in the Bachelor/Academic category, underscores UNDIP’s quality and consistency in producing top talent across all educational pathways.

Highlights of Student Achievements and Profiles

Callysta, a 7th-semester TRKI student currently undergoing an industrial internship at IBR (Indonesia Bharata Rayon) Purwakarta, proves that vocational education is a relevant and highly competitive main path. His victory in the Pilmapres, which was partly supported by his innovative research in the field of food technology.

Callysta’s performance demonstrates that vocational students, who are trained to master practical skills (hard skills) while also possessing strong and adaptable characters, are capable of generating ideas and works that have a significant impact at the national level, and are even prepared to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4. 0.

UNDIP’s Strong Commitment to the Ideal Vocational Education Callysta Najmi Raissa’s achievements serve as both an inspiration and a driving force for the UNDIP Vocational School to continue strengthening the vocational education system they believe is ideal, based on four main pillars:

  1. Industry Collaboration: Continuously updated curriculum, ensuring relevance to the needs of the working world (such as Callysta’s internship experience at IBR).
  2. Teaching Factory (Tefa): The process of learning while producing real products and solutions, reflecting Callysta’s applied research experience.
  3. Global Mindset: Promoting international certifications, overseas internships, and global networking for internationally competitive graduates.
  4. Character Building: The focus is not only on technical skills, but also on integrity, work ethic, and social responsibility.

The Dean of the Vocational School emphasized that the full support of the Rector of UNDIP, including in the development of various teaching factories and vocational centers, has been a key factor. This synergy reinforces the position of vocational pathways as a strategic route to strengthen national human resource competitiveness, not merely an alternative choice.

Callysta’s story—a TRKI student excelling in food technology research and interning in the chemical industry—is expected to serve as a source of inspiration for all vocational education institutions in Indonesia to improve and showcase their best potential.
