Semarang – Syaikha Butsaina Dhiya’ulhaq, the best graduate from the Applied Bachelor’s (D4) program in Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (TRKI) at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), completed her studies with outstanding achievements. He graduated with honors (Cum Laude) and a GPA of 3.81 after completing his education in 3 years, 11 months, and 1 day. Syaikha celebrated this happy moment with her beloved family at the 176th UNDIP Graduation ceremony held at the Muladi Dome of the UNDIP Multipurpose Building (GSG) on Monday (November 4th). Syaikha expressed her gratitude for the opportunity provided by the Vocational School of UNDIP. “I am grateful to be able to study at the Vocational School, because the facilities and opportunities I have received are very supportive of my development. The D4 TRKI program offers a conducive learning environment with interactive lecturers who are open to discussion. Beside that, I can also participate in various competitions guided by competent lecturers,” he said.
According to Syaikha, the education system in the TRKI Study Program is very supportive of developing the practical skills needed in the industrial world. “The applied course material, adequate laboratory and practicum facilities, and the faculty’s support in participating in various activities such as international conferences, internships, and competitions, all play a significant role in our preparation as skilled workers,” she added. Syaikha’s achievements are not only reflected in her high GPA, but also in the 16 certificates she successfully obtained, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Armed with this achievement, Syaikha was able to get a job in a short amount of time. Alhamdulillah, I am now working at PT. Ungaran Sari Garments (Busana Apparel Group Ungaran Production unit) as a trainee supervisor in quality control. “I was accepted on September 27, 2024, and started working on October 7, 2024, just 1.5 months after graduating on August 15, 2024,” he said.
Not only that, Syaikha also received offers from 4 companies simultaneously in September, namely Busana Apparel Group (QC Supervisor position), PT. Friesland Kievit Indonesia (Management Trainee), PT. Vitapharm (QC), and PT. Smoore Technology Indonesia (Management Trainee). “There were even several other companies that I went thru to the interview stage. But, because I had already received confirmation from one company, I chose to continue there,” she explained. In the field of competition, Syaikha successfully achieved various accomplishments, including 1st Place in the Social & Technology Innovation Challenge (SoTech) 2024 held by PT Pertamina Refinery Unit 3 Plaju, Palembang. Other achievements include a gold medal in the National Paper Competition and a silver medal in the National Poster Competition, both held by Brawijaya University in 2020, as well as several other awards.
Syaikha revealed that she has always had goals and dreams she wants to achieve. “I always strive to realize my dreams and am open to opportunities that come my way, even those I never imagined before. “Great opportunities often come from small things,” he said. His message to other students is to always step outside their comfort zones and try new things. “Take advantage of your college years to participate in various activities, such as organizations, scientific competitions, or social events. “Don’t forget to stay focused on your studies and maintain your grades,” he added. Not to be forgotten, Syaikha expressed her gratitude to God and the prayers of her parents who always accompanied her. “Allah is the best planner. If one door closes, there’s bound to be another door open with better opportunities. “Respect lecturers, educational staff, and parents, and always maintain good relationships with God and fellow human beings,” he concluded.
