Students from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (TRKI) Study Program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University have once again achieved a proud accomplishment at the national level. The TRKI team successfully won the Grand Champion title at the National Economic Events X Edutalk Fair Competition 2025 held at Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. Not only that, they also won a series of prestigious awards, including a Gold Medal, a Bronze Medal, two categories for Best Idea, and Best Poster. This achievement solidifies TRKI SV UNDIP’s position as the overall champion in this prestigious competition.
The team’s innovation focuses on a global strategic issue: food security. They presented the idea of environmentally friendly bioindicators for detecting food safety, a breakthrough that combines food technology with sustainability principles. This solution aligns with the competition’s overarching theme, “ASEAN Economic Renaissance,” while also proving that vocational students are equally competitive with renowned research universities thru work relevant to societal needs.
This extraordinary achievement is the result of hard work and collaboration by a team consisting of Maya Qisthina Gaissani, Sigit Pramana, and Femas Wisnu Abby. The long process, from brainstorming ideas and writing the scientific paper to presenting before the judging panel, was undertaken with full dedication. Their success is inseparable from the guidance of lecturer Yusuf Ma’rifat Fajar Azis, S.T., M.T., and the support of the Head of the TRKI Study Program, Dr. Mohamad Endy Julianto, S.T., M.T., who always encouraged students to compete bravely in national events.
This achievement is a great source of pride for the entire SV UNDIP family and an inspiration for other students to continue innovating. More than just a medal, this victory demonstrates the commitment of the younger generation to make a real contribution thru science, creativity, and environmentally friendly technology.
