Semarang, July 5, 2025—The Professional Certification Institute (LSP) of Diponegoro University (Undip) held a witness activity for all certification schemes included in the scope expansion, including two certification schemes in the Industrial Chemical Engineering study program. This witness activity is carried out as part of efforts to ensure the quality and relevance of education in the field of chemical engineering technology, which aligns with the latest industry developments.
The two schemes proposed in this witness activity are:
- Biodiesel Production Cluster Scheme
- Production Management Cluster Scheme in the Field of Agro-Based Operational Technology and Chemical Processes
Biodiesel Production Cluster Scheme
This scheme aims to provide certification to skilled workers in the field of biodiesel production. With the growth of the renewable energy industry, particularly biodiesel, this certification is expected to improve the quality of the workforce that is competent and ready to work in the renewable energy sector, and to support the development of a green economy in Indonesia.
The production of biodiesel using vegetable raw materials or used oil processed into this environmentally friendly fuel is highly relevant to market needs, which are increasingly demanding sustainable and environmentally friendly products. Through this certification scheme, professionals in this field will gain nationally recognized competency recognition.

Production Management Cluster Scheme in the Field of Agro-Based Operational Technology and Chemical Processes
This scheme is designed to provide certification to professionals who have the ability to manage and optimize production processes in the field of agro-based operational technology and chemical processes. As the need for efficient and sustainable agricultural and agro-industrial products increases, this scheme becomes very important to ensure that the workforce in this sector has skills that meet industry standards.
The Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology study program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University has involved various relevant parties to ensure that this certification scheme is relevant to industry needs and can enhance graduates’ competitiveness in the workforce. With this witness activity, it is hoped that the certification process can proceed according to the procedures established by the LSP and produce competent and ready-to-use workers in the relevant industrial sector.

This witness activity is part of the evaluation and verification process for certification carried out by the LSP. It is hoped that this activity can be a concrete step toward producing a highly competent workforce in the field of chemical engineering, particularly in the biodiesel production and agro-based chemical process management sectors. This is also a form of Diponegoro University’s contribution to creating quality human resources, ready to compete globally, and support sustainable industrial development in Indonesia.

Thru this witness activity, LSP Undip also strengthens its cooperation with various industries and related sectors to ensure that the proposed certification schemes are always relevant to technological developments and labor market needs. The Diponegoro University Professional Certification Institute (LSP) is committed to producing qualified professionals in various fields, including industrial chemical engineering technology. This LSP functions to conduct work competency certification relevant to industry needs and support the development of qualified human resources.
