Semarang, May 31 – June 1, 2025 — To prepare students for the increasingly competitive job market, the Chemical Engineering Technology Student Association (HMTKRI) Adikara Kovalenta Cabinet, Vocational School of Diponegoro University, organized the TRKI Career Preparation Training 2025. The event was held over two days, from May 31 to June 1, 2025, at classrooms A3.1 and A3.2 of the Vocational School, starting at 07:00 WIB.

With the theme “Unleash Your Potential for a Brighter and Competitive Future”, this training was comprehensively designed to equip students, especially those from the 2021 batch, with practical and strategic skills for entering the professional world. This event was initiated as part of the academic and organizational responsibility to support TRKI graduates in facing the ever-evolving dynamics of the industry.

Distinguished Speaker from the Industry
The event featured a seasoned professional, Dr (cand). Ir. Jahnawi Tri Wasisto, MBA, ACC, ICF, who is currently serving as CEO & President Director of PT Elnotech Mubarac. With a background as a licensed engineer and certified professional in management and international coaching, Mr. Jahnawi provided valuable insights into the importance of personal development, adaptability, and strategic career planning.

During his session, he shared real-world experiences regarding challenges in the workplace, common mistakes in CV creation, and tips for succeeding in job interviews and recruitment processes. Furthermore, Mr. Jahnawi emphasized the importance of soft skills, such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking, as key factors for long-term professional success.

Relevant and Practical Training Activities
The training included various interactive sessions, such as professional CV creation, refining personal career goals, job interview simulations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and light psychological testing. Participants were required to bring their laptops and power strips, as well as a pre-prepared CV for analysis and evaluation with the facilitators.

This event not only provided technical training but also served as a platform for personal development. Students were trained to recognize their potential, understand industry demands, and prepare concrete steps toward entering the workforce. As a form of appreciation, the organizers awarded e-certificates to all participants and offered the opportunity for exclusive mentoring sessions with the speaker.

Interestingly, the top five participants would have an exclusive opportunity to attend four personal mentoring sessions with Mr. Jahnawi, where they would receive tailored career development guidance for a more focused and sustainable career path.

The Head of the Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program, Mohamad Endy Julianto, S.T., M.T., gave his opening remarks and expressed his support for the event. In his statement, he emphasized that graduates’ readiness is not only measured by technical skills but also by their ability to strategically navigate the dynamics of the industry.

Meanwhile, the TRKI Student Affairs Lecturer, Yusuf Ma’rifat Fajar Aziz, S.T., M.T., also actively assisted throughout the event. He stated that this program is part of the student development series aimed at producing vocational graduates who are ready to work and able to compete across various industry sectors.
