Salsa Kamilia is a 6th-semester student in the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (ICET) study program at the Vocational School (VS) of Diponegoro University. Since her first year as a TRKI student, Salsa, as she is affectionately known, has been active in several organizational activities, committees, internships, Master of Ceremonies (MC) roles, and competitions.
In the field of organization and committees, Salsa was active as a Public Relations Staff member of the BEM SV in 2023, a Competition Staff member of the SPE UNDIP SC in 2023, and currently serves as the Head of the Curriculum Division in the PSDM field of HMTRKI in 2024. Additionally, Salsa also frequently serves as the MC for several organizational activities such as the HMTRKI CV Training and the PKKMB Pendikar TRKI.
Similarly, to support her academic competencies, Salsa also utilized her semester break by interning at PT. Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU VI Balongan during July 2024 as a Process Engineer. According to Salsa, an internship in the industry is a very appropriate moment for students to gain sufficient experience, as it is direct learning in the workplace (experiential learning).
Throughout 2024, Salsa participated in various competitions, although she didn’t win them all. Some of the competitions I participated in were the Student Creativity Program (PKM) in the field of Science and Technology Application 2024, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, where we successfully obtained funding with 4 other members and received Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) for the book “Manual for EC00202473352 Partners” by creating a microcontroller-based ESP32 liquid fertilizer fermentor from tofu waste as an effort to process waste.
