Inspiring Story of Malika (UNDIP Vocational Student): Proud Innovations and Achievements

The year 2024 is a significant period for Malika Pintanada Kaladinanty, a student in the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (TRKI) Study Program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP). Thru the Potential Student Selection (PSSB) pathway in 2022, Malika demonstrated her commitment to innovation and sustainability by achieving various impressive accomplishments.

With her strong academic background and high level of social awareness, Malika successfully won 1st place in the Social Technology Innovation for Community Challenge organized by PT Kilang Pertamina International RU III Plaju. He achieved this victory thanks to the sensor-based MINAPADI technology innovation, which provides real benefits to the residents of Banyuasin, South Sumatra. Additionally, Malika also received funding from the Ormawa Membangun Negeri (POMN) program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and was successfully selected for the KPP Mining Youth program by PT Kalimantan Prima Persada.

Not only that, Malika is also active in developing legally recognized innovations thru patents and intellectual property rights (IPR). Some of his patented works include the method for developing aromatic instant coffee nanoemulsions (S00202414012) and a pH sensor tool integrated with water level detection for agricultural systems (S00202410023). He is also recorded as having two other intellectual property rights, one for instant coffee nanoemulsion products (EC002024229843) and the other for a theaflavin delivery system based on encapsulation (EC002024230735).

In teamwork, Malika actively contributed to the SV UNDIP biodiesel miniplant project, which focuses on renewable energy. He also served as the Head of Research and Science at HMTRKI, fostering an innovative and collaborative academic atmosphere among students.

Malika stated that UNDIP provided an extraordinary experience in developing her academic potential, particularly thru her involvement in faculty research and projects related to carboxymethyl cellulose and encapsulation. He also learned a lot about time management, developing critical thinking, and building a professional network that supports his future.

In her reflection, Malika emphasized the importance of education as the primary foundation for the success of the younger generation. She also highlighted the significance of choosing organizations that genuinely benefit and support self-development, considering that not all organizations are capable of fulfilling that role.

In the interview, he advised the younger generation that education and organization are two crucial aspects. “Education equips us with the skills for a bright future, while organization shapes our character of integrity in leadership. But make sure the organization you choose truly supports your self-development,” he said. With great enthusiasm and dedication, Malika continues to be an inspiring figure, proving that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand to bring positive change to the future.
