Dewa Made Arjuna Ararya, a student of the Chemical Engineering Technology program (TRKI) at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning two medals at the 2024 Shorinji Kempo Open National Championship Piala KONI Semarang, held at the Imam Bardjo Auditorium, UNDIP Peleburan Campus, Semarang, from October 25-27, 2024. The Shorinji Kempo Open National Championship Piala KONI Semarang 2024 was a prestigious event for Shorinji Kempo martial arts athletes from various regions across Indonesia. The event not only provided exciting competition but also demonstrated the fighting spirit and unity among athletes who have trained diligently to achieve success. The championship was held with great fanfare and attracted dozens of athletes from various clubs and universities across the country.
At the competition, Dewa won 1st place in the Embu Partner Category, Kyu 2-1, and 2nd place in the Randori Men’s 60 kg Class. Dewa’s success was a result of his hard work and intensive training in preparation for these events. According to Dewa, this achievement is the outcome of perseverance and discipline in every aspect of life. “I always try to balance my time between studies and training because I believe that both can go hand in hand. In sports, just like in academics, commitment and the spirit to continue improving are essential,” Dewa stated. This demonstrates that UNDIP’s TRKI students can excel not only academically but also outside the classroom, proving that the quality of UNDIP students is not measured solely by academic achievements.
Dewa’s accomplishment has also had a positive impact on the overall image of Universitas Diponegoro. “Dewa’s achievement serves as a concrete example that UNDIP students have the potential to shine in various fields, not limited to academics. This is certainly a pride for us, as it further reinforces that UNDIP produces graduates who are ready to compete in the professional world as well as in extracurricular activities,” added Mohamad Endy. Dewa Made Arjuna Ararya’s success is expected to inspire and motivate other TRKI students at UNDIP to continue excelling, contributing, and bringing honor to the university on a national scale. It is hoped that the fighting spirit shown by Dewa will inspire other students to not only be the best in their fields but also strive to give their best for the community and the country.
