The Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (TRKI) Study Program of Diponegoro University Vocational School (SV Undip) has officially accepted 113 new students (maba) for the 2024/2025 academic year at the new SV Building, Undip Tembalang campus, Tuesday (13/8/2024). The PKKMB speech by the Head of the Study Program, Mohamad Endy Yulianto, was followed by a presentation on the introduction to campus life for new students. Endy said that the students who attended the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) were selected students from among the many prospective students interested in entering TRKI UNDIP Vocational School. Of course, the new students are very grateful and proud to be part of the TRKI UNDIP Vocational School Study Program. It was reflected in the faces of the new students who were full of joy and happiness in facing the future.
The PKKMB event took place lively, full of intimacy so that the new students looked happy. Becoming a student and pursuing higher education is an important phase in life in order to achieve your dreams, said Endy. This PKKMB activity is designed so that new students can get to know more closely about academic activities and introductions to other students who will become college friends, both from the same department and other faculties. Thus, it is hoped that new students can socialize well, a sense of togetherness between students can grow and develop which ultimately a conducive academic life can be created on the beloved campus where new students will carry out lectures later, said Endy.
Endy also added that students are expected to be agents of change, movers, and pioneers to produce various solutions to the problems faced by the nation. The key to the solution to these problems is education that has an impact on the quality of Human Resources (HR). If our HR has high competitiveness and is able to manage its own Natural Resources (SDA), then Indonesia will become a respected developed country. The PKKMB activity that has been implemented is an effort and initial step in forming a positive character in living academic and non-academic life at TRKI UNDIP Vocational School. Higher education as part of the national education system has a strategic role in educating the nation’s life and advancing science and technology to increase competitiveness in facing globalization in all fields. New students will become good individuals, have noble character, master science and technology and competence. Of course, they will become future leaders of the Indonesian nation who respect others, have good integrity, enthusiastic work ethic and spirit of mutual cooperation, Endy concluded.
