Memorial Lecture of Ir. Edy Supriyo, M.T.

Wednesday, May 1 2024 – The Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Student Association held a Retirement Lecturer Release event as a form of appreciation and appreciation for the dedication and contribution made by Mr. Ir. Edy Supriyo, M.T. The event brought together all lecturers and study program staff as well as 4 classes of active TRKI students to jointly say goodbye with honor. The release of retired lecturers initiated by HMTRKI is also an opportunity for students to express their gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Edy who has played an important role in the students’ academic journey. Before the event started, students filled out the attendance list and wrote their hopes and prayers for Mr. Edy on a piece of paper which was then collected into one to be given to Mr. Edy.
The event started by showing two short videos. Firstly, a video from each generation containing messages for Mr. Edy. Followed by the second video which is a nostalgic video containing photos of his career journey. These videos serve as a starting point for a deep celebration of academic achievements and social contributions that have been made. After that, the atmosphere of the event continued with a warm welcome from Mr. Ir. R.T.D. Wisnu Broto, M.T., who is also a close friend of Mr. Edy. In his speech, he not only expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Edy’s hard work and dedication, but also shared personal stories that illustrate the close relationship between them, strengthening the sense of togetherness in this historic moment.
Furthermore, the atmosphere of the event became more emotional with words of appreciation delivered by Almas Zakiy from TRKI 2020 as the student representative. In words, deep gratitude radiates for the guidance, inspiration and dedication that Mr. Edy has given to students. “We would like to thank Mr. Edy for the services he has provided. “Hopefully the services that have been provided are useful for all of us and can be a charity for Mr. Edy,” said Zakiy.
The third event was Ir. Edy Supriyo’s final public lecture which was a historical moment and full of meaning. In the lecture, Mr. Edy shared his thoughts, experiences and final views with the students, lecturers and staff. In an atmosphere full of emotion, the inspirational messages delivered by Mr. Edy had a deep influence on all those present and became a very memorable closing point in his academic career.
The last one was the presentation of mementos from each class and the Student Association as an expression of thanks. These mementos are not only a symbol of appreciation for his contribution in shaping the academic journey of students, but also as a reminder of the close ties that exist between Mr. Edy and generations of students. In this moment, the feeling of emotion and warmth between Mr. Edy and the students was very strong, creating lasting memories that will continue to be remembered and appreciated by all parties.
