Semarang – Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program, Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro recently held a Visiting Professor (VP) program with Professor Yoshii Hidefumi as invited professor from Setsunan University, Japan. Prof. Yoshii Hidefumi is one of the professors with expertises in the field of food engineering, especially the encapsulation process. With more than 30 years of research and publication experiences, Professor Yoshii has published more than 146 articles in Scopus-indexed journals with an h-Index of 27, wrote several chapter books as well as being an editor in several reputable international journals as well as a reviewer. Professor Yoshii’s area of ​​expertise is very much in line with the emulsion and encapsulation courses taught by lecturer Hermawan Dwi Ariyanto, Ph.D. very possible for sharing and collaborative teaching.

Head of the TRKI Study Program, Vocational College UNDIP Mohamad Endy Yulianto, S.T., M.T. explained that one of the challenges for TRKI to support UNDIP towards The Excellent Research University is the increasing number of collaborations with many competent experts (professors) abroad. Meanwhile, during the VP program, Professor Yoshii will lecture for 7 meetings on the topic of Emulsion and Encapsulation in Food Science. In the first meeting, many students were enthusiastic about the material presented and there was an active discussion between Professor Yoshii and students.
