After participating in a series of technical guidance and verification activities by the Independent Student Exchange 2 team, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in 2022, lecturer of Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program, Hermawan Dwi Ariyanto, Ph.D. passed as a Lecturer of the Nusantara Module in 2022. The Nusantara Module is part of the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program which is focused on shaping the character of diversity and tolerance of students through inspirational activities, reflection and social contributions. The Nusantara module was specifically formed as a character of diversity in the Independent Student Exchange Program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

A total of 19 students came from various universities outside Java such as North Sumatra, South Sumatra, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi and East Nusa Tenggara. In its implementation, the Nusantara Module Lecturer will be assisted by a Liaison Officer (LO) to prepare the activity agenda. Hermawan said “The Nusantara Module Activity is a breakthrough program from the Ministry of Education and Technology which aims to eradicate radicalism and foster diversity and tolerance among students who have different backgrounds and cultures”. “In addition, through the spirit of Temporary Exchange, Meaningful Forever will have a positive impact on students which can be transmitted by students after completing this activity,” he continued.

As LO, Rega Ardiansyah added “By bringing up the topic of diversity and tolerance, MN activities under the guidance of Lecturer Hermawan Dwi Ariyanto, Ph.D. will explore the cultural values ​​around Semarang”. Some of the agenda of activities that will be carried out during the Nusantara Module program are: visiting the Virtue Canteen community, the Islamic Center at the Kauman Mosque in Semarang and learning regional dance at a dance studio in Semarang.
