A total of 91 students of the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program (TRKI) of the Vocational College Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) took the TRKI graduate competency test. The competency test activity was carried out at the Chemical Engineering Competency Test Place (TUK) for the UNDIP Vocational School. The competency test which was held for 2 days on 6-7 July 2022 was the final activity after completing the TRKI Graduate Competency Certification Training which was held on 4-5 July 2022.
The competency test has 1 test scheme, namely Liquid Chemical Production. In the test scheme, there are 2 competency units tested. The competency test carried out is supervised by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) P1 Vocational UNDIP, LSP Human Resource Development Center (PPSDM) Cepu, and the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). To state that the student is competent when they are able to complete all units properly and correctly. Competency test conducted is by written method, interview and practice.
In the implementation of this certification, each assessor tests students one by one. Students must carry out three stages of the exam, namely written, interview and demonstration. During the demonstration practice test, the assessor assesses each activity carried out, whether it is in accordance with what is specified in the case study or not. During the practice, the assessors also conducted a second test, namely oral questioning and observation sessions. In the oral questions which are given, the assessors asked more in-depth questions regarding the implementation of demonstration practices.
This Competency Certification Test is a program carried out to provide recognition of the competencies possessed by graduates of the Undip Vocational School TRKI Study Program in accordance with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standard (SKKNI) 165 of 2016. This Competency Standard describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes that must be carried out while working in the Liquid Chemical Production industry and their application, in accordance with the requirements set by the workplace. This activity is the second activity carried out at the UNDIP Vocational School TRKI Study Program after previously in 2019 a similar activity was carried out.
