The Chemical Engineering Technology Program (TRKI) at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) is committed to producing graduates with comprehensive competencies in chemical engineering, who not only understand the technical aspects but also possess a deep understanding of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and professional work ethics.

The educational vision implemented by TRKI includes four main graduate profiles:

  1. Becoming a professional expert in chemical engineering technology, applying the principles of safety, health, and environmental sustainability.

  2. Possessing strong leadership qualities and the ability to continuously develop.

  3. Having the ability to develop through advanced education in engineering and applied sciences, both nationally and internationally.

  4. Being innovative and becoming a technopreneur, creating products based on digital technology.

By introducing Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the TRKI Program at UNDIP has integrated an educational system that combines the Dual System concept with a Digital Teaching Factory, preparing students to face the rapid developments in the global industry. This learning also focuses on developing creativity and communication skills through advanced technology, requiring students to be active and independent in their learning process.

According to Dr. Mohamad Endy Julianto, S.T., M.T., Head of the TRKI Program, the majority of TRKI graduates successfully enter the industry, continue their studies to the master’s or doctoral levels, and some choose entrepreneurship. Many of them continue their studies abroad, including in Germany, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan.

One outstanding alumna is Qurrotun A’yuni Khoirun Nisa’, known as Ayuni, who is currently pursuing a postdoctoral program at Pukyong National University, South Korea, in the field of polymer engineering. Ayuni revealed that her achievement was made possible by the dedicated guidance she received from her lecturers at UNDIP and the moral support from her fellow students.

Ayuni explained how important the educational system implemented by the TRKI Program at UNDIP was in shaping her, both academically and personally. According to her, by integrating the 9 Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) and using the Dual System, along with hands-on experience through the Teaching Factory, she felt more prepared to continue her studies abroad. Ayuni also added that practical experience in the mini-plant and research conducted with lecturers provided valuable skills for her further studies overseas.

“Throughout this journey, I am truly grateful to the lecturers, administrative staff, friends, and everyone at UNDIP who has supported me. I hope to contribute more significantly to research and innovation on a global scale,” said Ayuni with deep gratitude.
