AISA – Smart Palm Oil Farmer’s Friend from UNDIP, National Science HackinFest 2025 National Champion

When Digital Innovation Meets a Heart that Cares for Farmers and Nature.
From the tireless young hands, a great innovation was born for the future of Indonesian palm oil. The AISA team from Diponegoro University made history by winning the National 1st Place in the Agribusiness category at the Science HackInFest 2025 event, organized by PT SUCOFINDO (Persero) and ID Survey in Jakarta.

Amidst over 400 competing teams from across Indonesia, students from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology (TRKI) program at the Vocational School of UNDIP delivered a stunning performance with a brilliant idea:

AISA (Palm Smart Assistant) — an artificial intelligence (AI)-based application designed to be a digital companion for palm oil farmers. More than just an application, AISA is an intelligent ecosystem. It can detect oil palm diseases thru a mobile phone camera (Computer Vision), provide adaptive cultivation guidance based on weather and soil data, schedule plant maintenance, offer ISPO/RSPO sustainability education, and even provide live chat directly with oil palm experts.

All of this works even in areas with limited internet access — thanks to the Hybrid Edge Cloud system, which allows for automatic synchronization when the network is available.
The team from TRKI Vokasi Undip Sawit Scholarship when receiving the award/doc.pri “We want to present a digital solution that truly helps palm oil farmers increase productivity, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability,” said the AISA team, consisting of Luis Ibanez Sitinjak, David Auza Sitanggang, Kholis Na’imah, and Mayada Jannati, under the guidance of Dr. Mohamad Endy Julianto, S.T., M.T. Their aspirations are simple but meaningful: to empower farmers with technology, turn challenges into opportunities, and make science a friend to the earth and humanity.

This achievement is proof that UNDIP vocational students are not only technically skilled but also visionary in creating a real impact for society and industry.
From Semarang for Indonesia — AISA is not just technology, but a symbol of hope for smarter, more sustainable, and more humane agriculture.
