Rofik Wahyu Hidayat, an outstanding student from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program (TRKI) class of 2021, Diponegoro University Vocational School, has made a brilliant achievement by winning 1st place in the LLDIKTI Regional Level 6 Outstanding Student Selection. This victory is not only proof of his extraordinary abilities ordinary, but also shows high dedication and fighting spirit in the pursuit of excellence.
Head of the TRKI Undip Vocational Study Program, Mohamad Endy Julianto,. admitted that he was grateful for the achievements achieved by Rofik as he is familiarly known and adding to the list of achievements of Undip Vocational TRKI Study Program students. The next step for Rofik is to continue the selection at the national level, where he will compete with the best students from all over Indonesia. It is hoped that support from the entire academic community will be a driving force for Rofik to achieve even higher achievements. Rofik said that a series of very strict selection stages had been passed which led to winning 1st place in the LLDIKTI Regional Level 6 Outstanding Student Selection. The initial stage of selection involved an assessment of the students’ academic performance, extracurricular activities and social contributions. After that, participants who pass the initial selection will take part in a series of selections and interviews held by a jury team consisting of experts in their respective fields.
Rofik also added that having brilliant academic achievements and being active in various activities outside of lectures turned out to be very helpful in achieving these achievements. His dedication to developing himself and contributing to the surrounding environment is an inseparable added value in the jury’s assessment. By going through all these selection stages, Rofik proved that excellence is not the result of mere luck, but is also the result of hard work, sincerity and strong commitment. Rofiq is one of the Diponegoro University students who received a Japanese Government Scholarship to take part in the SAKURA SCIENCE PROGRAM (SSP) 2023 at the National Institute of Technology, Akashi College, Japan on 13-22 September 2023.
