An annual event was held by the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Student Association (HMTRKI) Vocational School Diponegoro University which was initiated by the Research and Science Division regarding “Aspen HYSYS Software Training” which was attended by all TRKI students. This event was chaired by Nur Ilma Awliya (TRKI 2022) with the theme “Master your HYSYS Skill to be a Great Chemical Engineer”, held online and taking place in 2 meetings, namely on September 9 and 10, 2023.

 

Hysys Process Simulation Software is engineering software that can simulate various series of processes in the chemical industry, especially the oil and gas industry. This event was attended by reliable speakers who have many experiences in the industry, namely Denny Firmansyah, S.T. In addition, this activity aims to help TRKI students learn about Hysys Software. This event was attended by TRKI students, especially the classes of 2020 and 2021 and was fully supported by the campus with the hope of producing generations of skilled engineers in the future.

The purposes of this event include:

  • Participants will be given the knowledge and understanding to master and apply chemical process simulation software.
  • Participants will be trained to be able to think analytically and creatively to solve problems in chemical industrial processes and to be able to create and test the validity of simulation models.
  • Provides a basic understanding of Heat and Material Balance calculations using the HYSYS Simulator.
  • Knowing the tools in the HYSYS steady state simulator and their use in Process Systems or Utilities.

h. Case Study “Basic Simple Rankine Cycle Steam Power Plant”
